To upload media:

• Click SHARE on the home page or UPLOAD on the navigation bar.
• STEP 1 has you choose the type of media you would like to upload: photo, video, document, music, or spoken word.
• STEP 2 requires you to fill in the following information: title, description, tags and whether or not you want it available for download. This can be edited later, although you cannot change the allow others to download function.
  
• STEP 3 has you select the button SELECT FILE.
• Find the media you would like to upload, select it and click the Open button.
• When the upload is complete, it will say "Sucessful!" We review all media before it is made public on MyCatholicVoice. (Note upload restrictions: Image files are limited to 10 Megabytes; audio and video files are limited to 100 Megabytes. Prior to being uploaded, images must be in one of the following formats: .jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp; audio files must be in one of the following formats: .mp3, .wav, or .wma; video files must be in one of the following formats: mpg, .mp4, .wmv or .avi. We convert all photographs to .jpg format, all audios to .mp3 and all videos to flash format before posting them to MyCatholicVoice.)
• Under "Upload Successful", there are four options: upload another item, edit your upload, My Stuff, and My Uploads.
• When you click on MY UPLOADS, you are taken to a screen where you can manage all of your approved, uploaded files (video, audio, image). You can edit and delete files, or sort them by:
  • Media Type (video, audio, images);
  • Once you select the media type, you can further sort by:
    • Newest (date the item was uploaded by the submitter);
    • Title (alphabetical);
    • Rating (highest rating first)
    • Views (number of times an item has been viewed or heard - highest number first)

You may uplaod videos in any of the following formats: .mpg, .mp4, .wmv or .avi. We convert all videos to flash. Your videos will look better on MyCatholicVoice if you resize them to these specifications:

• .mp4 (h.264) format
• 640x480 resolution
• MP3 audio
• 30 frames per second

You may only submit one media (audio, video, photo) file at a time.

You may upload up to 100 Megabytes of material each month. This is a combined limit which applies to all media submitted (images, audios and videos). You may submit as much media as you would like each month, subject to the 100 Megabyte maximum. The number of images, audios and videos you can submit will depend on the size of those files and the size of any other photographs, audio files and video files you have already submitted within the last month.
