Description: Hello, My name is Sharon and I am a Youth Minister from CT. I will be traveling with youth from my parish St James, St Barts's Parish in Manchester and St Chris's Parish in East Hartford. This will be my 4th World Youth Day and each exeperience has been so different. At this World Youth Day I will be an MC for our Catechesis site for three days. This is a unique opportunity that I have and look forward to the challenges and excitment that it will bring. I also look forward to working with the three bishops who are assigned to my site.
On my blog you will see World Youth Day from the eyes of a youth minister on a pilgrimage down under with youth. I will share the sites, stories and unique things that occur while on our pilgrimage. For those who work with youth you know it is always an adventure and I can't wait to see what this one brings. We have been planning, preparing, and fundraising for three years. Today at our parish Fr Dave gave those who are going a special blessing. With only three day till we go there is a lot of packing to do Gotta go get a few last minute supplies!!! More...

CSC Spiritual Question Module
These videos include interviews with men and women in uniform and input from theological experts to guide discussion about twelve topics on the traditions and teachings of the Catholic Church. The videos can be viewed in their entirety online or downloaded to play in your video player on your computer. The video downloads include both a leaders and participants guide. The guides are also available for individual download in this module. Each guide enables participants to read ahead, reflect, journal and discover places to find answers to their questions. To be an effective leader of your small group take the time to participate first in the CSC Training Module. After training, consult with your Military Chaplain to inquire about starting a CSC small group in your area.
The Spiritual Questions are detailed as follows:
SQ 1: Can a Catholic have a personal relationship with Jesus?
SQ 2: How do Catholics read the Bible?
SQ 3: How do I choose right from wrong?
SQ 4: Why should I go to church?
SQ 5: So, it's not all about me?
SQ 6: Do Catholics really pray to saints?
SQ 7: Why should I go to confession?
SQ 8: Do Catholics worship Mary?
SQ 9: Why is sex sacred?
SQ 10: What's so special about Catholic Communion?
SQ 11: Is there a right way to pray?
SQ 12: Are Catholics Christians?
