Keeping Christ in Christmas - Theme 12
As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, tell us how, with all the commercialization, your team keeps the holiday a Holy Day. We want to hear your voice on how you plan in keeping Christ in Christmas this holiday season. Submit a 30 second to 4 minute video about your favorite holiday tradition and/or ways that you keep the days Holy. If you don't have a tradition you want to share, submit a video of your favorite Christmas Carol that is telling the good news of Jesus birth.

Come to Church - Theme 4 - Entries
Come to Church – You love the Lord, you love your friends, get the two together by creating a 30 second to 60 second ‘commercial’ inviting your friends to come to your church with you. Submit your entries through September 27, 2008.

October 7th is the Feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary. Create a 1 – 2 minute tribute to Blessed Virgin Mary. Entry submission has closed for this theme. Voting is open through 11:59 PM CT on October 18, 2008. Please watch these entries, give them a 1 - 5 star and provide some comments.
Love the U.S.A. - Theme 7
Theme 7 - Love the U.S.A! We are truly blessed in this country. Teams, choirs, bands, theatre groups, get together and peform one of these Patriotic songs and submit your video by 11:59 PM CT on October 18, 2008: God Bless America, Star Spangled Banner, or Battle Hymn of the Republic.
St. Francis - Theme 8
The Feast day of St. Francis is celebrated in October. Entry submission has ended for this theme. Voting is open through 11:59 PM CT on November 1, 2008.
All Hallows – Theme 9
The Eve of All Hallows, or Halloween, All Hallow or All Saints Day, then All Souls Day; three consecutive distinctive days for celebrating and remembering. Create a 1 – 3 minute video and share with us your favorite memories, ways of celebrating, tributes or why you think others should or shouldn’t observe one or a combination of these days. (No devil worshipping references or videos will be accepted.) Entries may be submitted through 11:59 PM CT on November 1, 2008.
In The Word – Theme 10
The single, "In The Word" from the album "Use Me" by James Abbington says “In the Word of God, I found it all in the Word Of God; Joy, Peace, Contentment, so much more. “ Create a 30 second to 4 minute video about your favorite verse in the Bible with an explanation of why. The why can be described through picture, song, dance however your team best expresses itself. Can’t decide on one particular verse, your team is invited to recorder your own version of In The Word. (Check out the Songs & Videos for Inspiration module below for additional information about this song.) Entries for this theme may be submitted through 11:59 PM CT on November 8, 2008.
Thank You – Theme 11
As we celebrate Veteran’s Day, and get ready for Thanksgiving, let us take the time to reflect on God’s many blessings. Create a 1 – 4 minute video saying Thank You. Who your team chooses to thank is up to you. Be sure to indicate within your video whom you are thanking and why. Appreciation can be shown in pictures, words, song, dance, music the possibilities are endless. Have fun and make someone’s day by sharing the video with them after you enter it in the contest.

Theme 1 - Labor of Love In honor of Labor Day, make a 2 - 3 minute video with your team showing how you work in your Parish for the Love of the Lord. Entry submission ended on September 6th. Voting concluded on September 13th.
Theme 2 - School Spirit Show your school spirit! Create a 1 - 3 minute video showing the world your school spirit. Entry submission ended on September 13, 2008. Voting continues through September 20th. Winner will be announced on September 22nd.
Theme 3 - Meaning of the Cross On September 14th, Catholics celebrated the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. As we contemplate John 3:16, shoot a 1 - 3 minute video about what the Cross means to you. Have everyone in the video wear a cross and have others on display to help support the theme. Entries for this theme must be submitted by September 20, 2008

Record 3 different videos with your team performing each of the songs. Entries for this theme may be submitted through October 4, 2008 11:59 CT.

How many people must be on a team? A team is at least two people. There can be as many people as you would like on the team as long as they are at least 13 years old and you have their permission.
Not all the members of my team are Catholic, can we still participate? Yes! We want to hear the voice of today. Everyone regardless of religious affiliation is encouraged to submit an entry.
Do I choose just one of the themes each week? The themes are for open approximately four weeks to give you a chance to get your team together, write your script and record your entry. Each theme has a submit by date for the weekly $500 prize. So your team can submit an entry for just one theme or for all twelve. |
