Here you can listen to a special message from Sr. Edith Prendergast or to Cardinal Mahoney's answers to questions from participants, hear what others thought were the best parts of this year's show or post your own comments, view a Tech Center "Ministry Minute" or download some of Congress's great music, look for yourself and friends in the Congress Photobook or watch yourself in a video you may have recorded on the convention floor---and much, much more. Enjoy this round-up of the "Best Of" LA Congress 2008.
Description: This community is for people who want to share resources and dialogue about the Global Catholic Church. The centerpiece of this community is a project sponsored by Ad Sodalitatem, a charitable organization which sent a pilgrim to 365 Churches in 365 days through 38 countries in the year 2007. A blog from everyday of the pilgrim’s experiences can be read below. The blogs are organized by continent, and then by country. The community invites conversations about the needs of the Church throughout the world, with special interest given towards innovative ways to promote Catholic Social Teaching and learn about the Church around the Globe. Of particular interest to the community is the use of Google Earth as a means of taking virtual tours of churches around the world and the development of relationships with Catholic communities throughout the world.
Description: Welcome! to MyCatholicVoice's online prayer community. Prayer, in all its forms, connects us to God and to our true selves. It also connects us with one another. Online prayer affords us unique opportunities to pray with others and to experience a sense of communal sacred space.
Description: World Youth Day 2008 (July 15-20) is an international event that brings young people together with the pope for growth in faith and fellowship. In partnership with the USCCB and the Embassy of Australia, we have created this virtual pilgrimage so you can get a taste of the many facets of WYD, whether you celebrated in Australia or in your own country.
