Description: This community is for people who want to share resources and dialogue about the Global Catholic Church. The centerpiece of this community is a project sponsored by Ad Sodalitatem, a charitable organization which sent a pilgrim to 365 Churches in 365 days through 38 countries in the year 2007. A blog from everyday of the pilgrim’s experiences can be read below. The blogs are organized by continent, and then by country. The community invites conversations about the needs of the Church throughout the world, with special interest given towards innovative ways to promote Catholic Social Teaching and learn about the Church around the Globe. Of particular interest to the community is the use of Google Earth as a means of taking virtual tours of churches around the world and the development of relationships with Catholic communities throughout the world.

Quadragesima (kwä′drə jā′zi mə) denotes a season of preparation by fasting and prayer, to imitate the example of Christ. The forty days in Lent are traditionally marked by fasting, both from foods and festivities, and by other acts of penance. The three traditional practices to be taken up with renewed vigor during Lent are prayer (justice towards God), fasting (justice towards self), and alms-giving (justice towards neighbor). To help you in the journey we have collected the best in contemporary and traditional music, prayerful reflection, videos and bible study resources.
