Description: so our first meal of world youth day ended up being a meat pie. its an aussie food, but very similar to an american chicken pot pie. but with beef. haha. this is to give you a feel for what is was like after walking for soooo long. miles and hours. people were exhausted, mean, tired, hungry. we felt like desperate "savages or something" haha. even through the tiring and pessimistic atmosphere, i was still able to see the good in people i guess you could say. for example, after giving up time to eat his own food, our youth minister, Lance Wiseman went to go search for a lost pilgrim. When he finally got back, he grabbed his food, and sat down right into someone's unattended soup. through the midst of it all, he still joked about it. by the way, you cant really see the number of people in the video, but it was estimated to about 150,000. sorry i was too busy eating. =]
