Description: During the formal opening ceremony of the Synod on Africa, Pope Benedict XVI referred to Africas culture and spirituality as a spiritual lung to the world. Along with of 294 cardinals and African Bishops, the Pope asked Africans not to allow themselves to fall into the negative aspects of the western world.
