Description: The inviolable nature of human life was confirmed by the Pope in his address to the new French ambassador to the Holy See, Stanislas de Laboulaye Lefebre. Benedict XVI noted that this year will be marked by parliamentary debates in France on issues of bioethics and on these issues, the Church reaffirms Her support of life. As for the economic and social situation, Benedict XVI underlined that all government measures that encourage solidarity and cooperation among the various social sectors are appreciated. The global crisis we are currently experiencing is an opportunity to develop new financing mechanisms for an economy worthy of man.
