Segment #2: Life Meets Faith - The Great Struggle
We've been reading from Paul's letter to the Colossians recently during daily Mass. In that letter, Paul says:“[I]t is Christ in you, the hope for glory. It is he whom we proclaim, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. For this I labor and struggle, in accord with the exercise of his power working within me.” (Colossians 1:27-29)
When life meets faith, why do we have to "labor and struggle"? What's that battle/struggle look like? What areas of life is this struggle most evident?
In the midst of the struggle, what are the signs that Christ is our "hope for glory"?
Segment #3: First LMF Challenge
Father is hungry. He has lived in a dorm for nine years and he's on his own for the first time. He needs your help. The first LMF Challenge is to send in your suggestions of meals/recipes for Fr. Andrew (email, call, etc.). Remember, he has limited cooking skills, time, and patience. Also, he doesn't like raw tomatoes (he eats them for penance). Send in your suggestions and recipes soon and he will try them out. During upcoming shows, he'll provide updates with how it's going. If your suggestion is picked as his favorite, he will send you a prize from his endless pile of "rockin' books that ain't gettin' read." The LMF guys might find something else to throw in too. Hurry so he doesn't resort to gas station hotdogs anymore.
