I enjoy chant with accompaniment. It's because that is what I remember from my 1950's schooling. In fact I would love to find some of the regular chanted masses, like Mass 9 etc, accompanied by organ. Daughters of St Paul have some beautiful work, although I don't always like what they do, making it sound like a rock band. I have four of their CD's. This is beautiful.

I think I would prefer chant without instruments. The music threw me, but the chanting was lovely.
