Description:
John Bosco grew-up in Turin, Italy and was ordained to the priesthood in 1841. He dedicated his life to working with abandoned young people during the industrial revolution. In 1859, he founded the Salesian Society and in 1872 the Salesian Sisters to work for girls. He died on January 31, 1888.
