About World Library Publications

World Library Publications, a division of J. S. Paluch Company, Inc., Franklin Park, IL, publishes the finest in Catholic music and resources for liturgy and worship. Word & Song (a comprehensive annual hymnal-and-missal-in-one resource for parishes), Voices As One (the two-volume hymnal resource of contemporary music for worship), the revised People Mass Book and the Celebremos/Let Us Celebrate bilingual hymnal/himnario are the most recent additions to WLP hymnals and missals. They join the We Celebrate Hymnal and Missal, Celebremos/Let Us Celebrate Misalito Parroquial, and Seasonal Missalette in a line-up of some of the finest offerings in parish worship resources.

Omer Westendorf founded World Library Publications in 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio, as World Library of Sacred Music (WLSM). In 1955 WLSM published The People's Hymnal which was widely used throughout the United States and became a standard hymnal in many Catholic parishes. During this period, Omer authored "God's Blessing Sends Us Forth," "Where Charity and Love Prevail," and other notable, classic hymns. The J. S. Paluch Company acquired World Library Publications (WLP) in 1971 as a source of liturgical music for worship resources. WLP produces individual octavos and choral music series, recordings, videos, books, collections of music for worship. WLP also provides music workshops and choral reading sessions.
